What are we living for?

What are we living for?

What are we living for?

Each of us is looking for happiness, peace, joy, and love in this life. Every time, starting a new stage of our life, starting new relationship, we hope to find all this and remain happy until the end of our days. But again and again we see that no complete happiness can be found beyond each new horizon, and with new acquisitions come new losses.

Why were we born? Why is this life given to us? How did we get the feeling that full happiness is possible? Why do we with childish naivete search again and again for our happiness? Why, after many disappointments, deep inside we hope that somewhere there is this eternal, pure and endless blissful love?

The answer is the following: a person is born more than once. The soul of a man, having eternal nature, changes its physical shell, like we change our clothes, from life to life and passes different experiences only for one reason - to realize what it really is and to return to its source. The soul in its essence is light, a part of a huge universal Soul, which we call God. To return to the source means to realize one's divine nature, to experience its inseparable connection with the Creator.

The whole world is an illusion created not for punishment, but for learning. Every man must gradually understand that the external world with all its relations, achievements and objects is unable to give him the fullness of that love and that happiness the soul knows. The soul remembers these feelings and tries as it can to find them again, but this memory is veiled by the illusion of the world. That's why again and again we are looking for the desired where it can not be found. Everything in the world is impermanent, everything is ephemeral. How can something that is temporary can give permanent happiness?

Only the immersion deep in oneself, the realization of one's sources will lead to the completion of this searching of one's soul. We are not only our physical bodies, our thoughts and our feelings. We are spiritual beings who have forgotten their true nature and are therefore immersed in suffering. The only way out is to look at ourselves and the world from the different point of view, to realize "who am I?".

When a person begins to wonder about the meaning of life, life does not leave him without help. The help is always around, it is only necessary not to pass it by. There are always those who help a man in his search for true happiness. There are souls who have gone through all the stages of self-knowledge and have reached an inner connection with God. They have true knowledge and spiritual strength. Such souls are called Spiritual Masters. They come to earth to help people. Their role is to lead a person out of the dark illusions to the light, to lead him from ignorance to knowledge, from delusions to truth and love.
