Wordly and Divine Love. Blood and Spiritual Bonds

Wordly and Divine Love. Blood and Spiritual Bonds

When a person loves someone (the close ones, friends, relatives) usually such love contains elements like moha, asakti, maya.

Maya is illusion, asakti - attachment, moha - delusion, blind attraction (when knowledge is shut and the person becomes blind out of his love, he does not see what is right and what is not).

A person needs to gradually rise from the level of the mundane love to the level of the divine love. So what is the difference between the two?

Love with Attachments

When love is predominated by blind attraction (moha), attachments (asakti) and illusions (maya), then it is very difficult to explain to a person that he is doing something wrong. In this love there is no real understanding of the things, no understanding of what is good and what is bad.

For example, all parents blindly love their children. Each parent thinks that his child is the best, the smartest. A situation at school occurs and your child tells you that he has been offended. You will immediately think that it is not his fault, because your blind love does not allow you to see clearly. When you do not have this quality, you will be able to clearly judge the situation and, even if your child is unjust, you will be able to teach him how to act properly. You will understand what your child is really like, what he is capable of, what he can and cannot do.

Divine Love. Sadguru's Love for Disciple

The divine love has different nature. Sadguru, Spiritual Teacher loves everyone without any illusions, attachments or desires to obtain something from them. He wants the best for every person. And most important - His love brings welfare not only to your physical body and material state, but firstly to your soul. He will give you correct advice, no matter you like it or not. He will always say what is useful for your soul and your progress. Even when a person cannot accept it immediately, having given it a little thought, he accepts it.

Bhakti - Pure Love

When you love Sadguru, then it is not moha (blind attraction), this is bkhakti. Such love leads towards the spiritual progress. Spiritual connection with the Teacher, established through bhakti helps a person his entire life. Bhakti is high, pure love and devotion. And these qualities also must be developed. The more devoted the disciple, the more power the Teacher will give him, the more he will teach him. A person can conquer any negative qualities with the help of bhakti, because love has enormous power.

Spiritual Connection with The Teacher

When you love someone deeply, it means that there is a connection with this soul. We are all children of one God; all of us have His power and energy. We are all connected, but in the world it is usual to say that blood is the strongest bond. In reality there is nothing stronger than the spiritual connection, since it is eternal. Blood connection ends and changes in different lives. But the one who have always truly loved and will love you - He is always by your side. No matter what karma a person has created in his lives, due to his spiritual connection he will again come to his Teacher.

Teacher wishes only one for his disciple - wellbeing of the soul, he leads the disciple towards progress. Even if the person has some other desires, wants to reach material goals, it is not bad. The main thing when fulfilling your desires is not allowing your spiritual level to drop. The entire world is full of illusions. Strongest of them are money, authority, the relationship between a man and a woman. People waste most of their life on this.

On the path of progress, until a person reaches the state of atma gyan, he still has desires, no matter how small they were. And as soon as a soul rises from one level to another, higher level, here come the desired illusions, and even bigger than he wanted: Here, take it! Majority of people do not have enough power to resist the desires. And only the one who can do this is a genuine sadhaka and a devoted disciple - he has not forgotten his Teacher, His teachings and can go towards the higher spiritual achievements.

When moha, asakti and maya are removed, then karuna - kindness, grace is born inside. This is a very high state.
